Journey Back to Sierra Leone

Well, I dusted off the old blogspot for this fifth trip to Bo (the blog only reflects my grandiose (delusional?) dream of capturing the journey back in Oct 2005). I've since returned in Jan/Feb 2007, Dec08/Jan09, July/August09 and this latest trip, Jan 28 - Feb 6, 2010.

Since that first trip, electricity is somewhat more reliable from on-site generators run for a couple hours in the evenings, if/when the public electricity is off. Also, a number of new buildings were constructed or renovated, including an on-site training center that also serves as lodging for teams and other visitors.
